Maltagliati

When you make your own pasta, you will always end up with some scraps, even more if you make ravioli. You can easily recycle this leftover pasta to make maltagliati, meaning "poorly cut" in Italian, which was traditionally meant as food for the poor. We are way past that, and today you can enjoy rich texture and amazing flavor of your pasta without the social stigma ;-)

Chunky chocolate walnut pie

I must admit that there's this specific cake at McDonald's that I love — chunky chocolate pecan pie, and I decided to recreate it as closely as possible. It turned out pretty well, and you can enjoy it too! You can use leftover cake and off-the-shelf cookies to make the bottom crispy and creamy layer, so it doesn't require too much of work and ingredients.

Honey meat ravioli

This delicious meal is amazingly easy to prepare, as long as you have a pasta machine and ravioli tablet — it's a small grid in which you can prepare ravioli "like a sandwich", then roll out the ready ravioli using a rolling pin. Super easy, and with just very little effort you will end up having a luxurious feast!

Quick cream pie

Somehow I managed to hide mini chocolate muffins in my oven over the weekend and now I'm left with lots of chocolate cake crumbs. I decided to make a quick, and easy dessert, which doesn't look luxurious, but is really tasty, fast and easy to prepare in almost no time. Try on your own, you can use any kind of sweet baked cookies, cakes, etc., that crumbles easily.

German vanilla Kipferl (cornetti)

One thing that I like about living in Germany is that during the Christmas time, locals cook and bake many delicious local dishes — one of them is Vanille-Kipferl, also known in other countries as Italian cornetti, French crossaints, or Polish rogaliki. But however you call them, they are basically very crispy cookies covered with vanilla sugar. And for this simplicity I absolutely love them :-)
