French toast

I believe in food recycling, i.e. when something is still edible, and there is a delicious and healthy way to eat it, then why not? We should never let our food spoil, even when there's overabundance of it! :-) Enjoy these delicious, savory French toasts, which make a perfect weekend breakfast.

Coffee cake

My first real cake, made with delicious coffee-flavored buttercream. It was really good, and simple! Because this cake doesn't require leveling, you can simply bake two layers separately, then stack them — a perfect recipe for beginners! :-)

I made my cake with normal instant coffee, but you can also use decaf coffee for same taste, but caffeine-free cake! :-)

Buttercream

I started my cake-making adventure lately, and the first, most basic cream used to ice the cake is the buttercream — it's very simple, and makes a delicious, thick and stable cake cream that you will love!

As you can see in the recipe image, I used it already in my vanilla butterscotch cupcakes, which got rave reviews from my friends and coworkers! :-) Unfortunately the cream alone is rather not spectacular, just a sweet, delicious blob of butter and sugar ;-)

Quick cream pie

Somehow I managed to hide mini chocolate muffins in my oven over the weekend and now I'm left with lots of chocolate cake crumbs. I decided to make a quick, and easy dessert, which doesn't look luxurious, but is really tasty, fast and easy to prepare in almost no time. Try on your own, you can use any kind of sweet baked cookies, cakes, etc., that crumbles easily.

Sushi-like rolls

Can you imagine, there was the time I didn't want to eat sushi, because of the raw fish?! Well, that's true, shame on me. Lots of shame. On me. Agreed...

Knowing that, I decided to make a recipe for sushi-like rolls, that look and taste close to sushi, but... are not raw! Nothing in this recipe is raw, and that also means that you can keep them safe longer at the room temperature, place in your bento, take for a picnic or just offer them as a healthy snack for people didn't discover yet the ingenuity of Japanese cuisine! ;-)
